• Maxime Viciare: Project Manager of Daher Labs

Maxime worked in Daher's industrial services and then in logistics. After that he was in the IT department and for the last 3 months he has been in Gabriel's team. He will be the project's innovation sponsor.

Daher plays the role of wholesaler and prepares the orders for Airbus. It is they who carry the stock upstream of production and calls from Airbus to receive the material and move forward with the manufacture of the aircraft.

• Purchases of materials from external suppliers

• Internal manufacturing of parts on the sites of: Tangiers (2 factories), Casablanca (3 factories)

=> Daher therefore carries stock for Airbus and would like to succeed in optimising it.

The current process:

Airbus gives the production plans at 3 months, the order only becomes firm within 15 days

OR => Daher buy and produce at around 6 to 8 weeks + To be sure of not being out of stock, they tend to overestimate these stocks.

On the scope of the POC => They currently have 36 days of stock coverage for a total of 4.6M€. (Gabriel estimates that the cost of inventory is roughly 25% or €1.15M)

Focus on the Saint Nazaire / Toulouse and Tarbes site.

On the other Daher perimeters => It is estimated that the coverage of 60 to 120 days.

Our operational contact:

Xavier Michot will be our operational point of contact during the project.

Xavier believes that the IT world is very complex and would like to be reassured about our ability to fit into the current world.

=> Knowing that many things run on Excel

Xavier highlighted the fact that with some human analysis, they manage to detect patterns of intermittency and that it would be interesting to use a tool on the problem.

Project objective:

To highlight a potential ROI for stock reduction

• Detection of patterns and probability of peak demand from Airbus

• Optimise safety stocks based on this probability

=> Reduce stocks that are overvalued

How do we get the data, how do we process it? What are the inputs/outputs of the solution?

Review of the scope, 30 references with different patterns and methodology constraitnts for replenishments. Full scope is about 2500 to 3000 references.

Some products with end of life, the two last references in the Excel of Scoping

Users: Sandrine will be the main user with Morgane, they are heading the replenishment for the hub of Saint-Nazaire

Questions:

• How many times a day the computation of optimization are don and how the data is refreshed
