They will need to discuss with managemnet if they want to increase SLA with same inventory (3m) or decrease inventory with same SLA
Fero does not want to see a move towards safety stock now and then go back after 6 months ("I am too old for that. I dont want to be agile anymore.")
Fero: Dynamic setting of parameters is great, we are totally failing on this.
Pilot:
Total of 7 major steel suppliers with 700 references.
The one with the biggest benefit: CDW (currently bad but in the past years always good)
SNAR (Italian): Short lead time, they were asking for 1 year outlook, lead time 4-5 weeks, planner is Andrea, 76 references SKUs, closed in August → Martin would be the better fit in terms of drive!
Currently steel 14-20 weeks due to global shortage.
Fero: Why not using composite material, a lot of stock, we always order to much; very long leadtime = 6 months, quarterly ordering process (paper supplier) → risk is much higher because you cannot adjust
Success criteria: Number of production orders that were not possible to be started within 4 weeks
