What if AI and some well thought algorithm could help us tackle one of the biggest challenges of our generation : WASTE? And what if it could at the same time help companies save trillions of dollars in the process ?

First I will tell you where I come from : my father work in a small supermarket from a big company in a nice town in Normandy. My whole life I have watched him throw away dozens and dozens kilos of food everyday! Did you know that 40% of the food produced worldwide is wasted?

Customer behavior is a factor but this is not the only one: to change things we need to tackle the heart of the problem; and here it’s not money it’s supply chain ! I have been working in supply chain for 8 years and I can tell you companies have a huge supply chain issue. This is not only true in food but also in many other sectors. For example, Pharma, where about a 1/3 of medicines have been out of stock in 2018.

Now, I have an excellent news. From the Supply Chain theory, there is a secret recipe we can apply to solve all those issues: it's full data transparency in between a retailer and its supplier. From studies, we know it reduces total costs and wastes by 30%. However, in practice it does not work. I know from experience that it is very difficult to put in place directly because it implies complete trust to the company you are buying from or selling to.

Flowlity is making the impossible a reality. We are the trusted 3rd party. We collect data in real-time from both sides and with our AI algorithms, we analyze it and give recommendations about how much stocks should be kept by both parties at all times.

By being a 3rd party, we give the benefits without the need to share data.

To do this, we benefit from Karim's experience at Criteo. He is the CTO of Flowlity, and he is an expert when dealing with large datasets and building machine learning algorithms.

We implemented our solution at a large french manufacturer. By being the trusted 3rd party in between them and 2 of their suppliers : we reduced inventories by 40%, saving millions of euros. But more importantly, last year, they used planes to ship parts from the US to France urgently. With our solution, no plane is needed; which means 140 tons of fuel saved.

We started about one year ago, and we are now 9 happy Flowlity employees. Today, we are growing, and looking for more customers. If you want to reduce waste, unnecessary transportation and stocks while at the same time have a real impact on your bottom line, come talk to us. We are Flowlity. Thank you.
